UPKEEP OF IRONMONGERY - ADVICE FROM KIRKPATRICK

We (Kirkpatrick) are proud of our heritage and the quality of our products. Crafted to the highest standards using traditional manufacturing processes we are confident that you cannot buy a better quality product. To ensure longevity our products are toughened in a two stage finishing process. The products are first dipped into a liquid paint and stove dried. A tough Powder coat is then applied before the products are stove dried a final time.
We believe that this is the best way to protect our products. However, over time these finishes can be affected particularly where moving parts rub against each other. Because of this we recommend that moving parts are lightly oiled on occasion. In addition, we also advise that the Ironmongery is wiped with a lightly oiled cloth from time to time. This will help remove harmful deposits and is particularly advisable if the products are located near to a coastline.
By adopting this simple advice you can help ensure that your Kirkpatrick Ironmongery will remain both functional and highly decorative and will last a lifetime.
